In a world inundated with digitally produced imagery, pushing the boundaries of creativity and originality is an ongoing and intriguing challenge. As we delve into the tenth exploration of contemporary techniques, we'll introduce some uncharted terrain in the realm of innovative photography.

One trend moving to the foreground is HDRI - High Dynamic Range Imaging. HDRI overcomes one of digital photography's main hurdles – extreme light conditions. Imagine a room with a gloriously lit window and a dark, shadowy corner. Typically, capturing both in one shot would lead to overexposure or underexposure. But, with HDRI, it's possible to capture this wide range of light and dark tonalities in one photograph by merging multiple shots taken at varying exposure levels. Now, the uniformly lit window and the secretive corner can coexist harmoniously in a single photograph.

Moving on, we delve into an exhilarating new method - ‘Lightfield Photography’. A conventional camera captures light hitting the sensor from one direction, which limits post-capture focusing options. However, a lightfield camera captures the light moving in all directions in the view of the lens. By recording the color, intensity, and direction of all light rays, the post-capture possibilities are endless - you can change the depth, focus, and perspective of a photograph after a picture has been taken. This astonishing technique is like having the power to revisit a space and time once captured, to decide what we want to see in clear focus.

Another compelling area is Computational Photography, where a photograph is not simply captured but computed. Using complex algorithms and multiple sensor data inputs, an image could be restructured to perhaps erase unwanted shadows, or render a clearer image in extremely low light conditions. Pixel-shift technology found in newer mirrorless cameras is a great example. The sensor purposely moves in microscopic increments between shots to capture more detail and thus, computes a final, hyper-realistic image.

Finally, we discuss the drone-based Arial Photography. Drones, no longer novelty toys for tech enthusiasts, provide photographers with vantage points that were once impossible without a helicopter. Shots taken from ecstatic heights or extremely stealthily, next to the crest of a roaring waterfall – are now easily achievable. Coupled with their ability to follow programmed flight paths, drones can produce smooth, cinematic panorama shots at the touch of a button.

As this journey continues, we learn that the digital age is not simply replacing the old with the new, but enhancing our ability to tell stories through images. Each of these techniques proffers a new perspective to view our world, creating a gateway to never-before-seen vistas of potential and creativity. Advancements in technology don’t merely bridge the gap between visualization and creation – they remove the gap altogether, turning the impossible into reality, forever pushing the boundaries of photography for future generations.
